The
department of telecommunications (DoT) has revised guidelines for issuing
clearances to install mobile towers, effective from August 1. If the BMC adopts
them, you could have a greater say in the matter.
The
additions include governments and civic bodies having to seek an NOC from
building owners or housing societies every time a site approval is renewed, and
including citizen representatives in district and state-level monitoring
committees, which address public grievances.
